The Ashen Circle - A Sylvain Trevelian Story

Years ago, a secret order of magicians known as the Ashen Circle sought to push magic beyond illusion. Led by the brilliant and dangerous Ivius Tangerine, they attempted a forbidden ritual now remembered as the Night of the Crimson Mirror. It ended in catastrophe. A mirror shattered in crimson light, and Élaine Morel vanished without a trace. The Circle collapsed. Tangerine disappeared. Only Sylvain Trevelian remained—haunted, and in possession of a shattered crystal heart, the last remnant of the ritual. Before vanishing himself, Trevelian sealed the truth inside a mechanical puzzle box. Now it has begun to tick. Inside lies the final echo of the Ashen Circle… and the truth of what was unleashed that night.

Important information

When booking an escape box simply complete the booking request form and choose the date you would like to book. Please check the calendar to ensure availability. You must choose a collection/delivery time to complete the form but if you wish to request a different time for you can indicate this in the additional information and we will do our best to accommodate this.

Once your booking is received you will be sent a confirmation email. You can then decide whether to pay online for your booking, or by cash or cheque on collection/delivery. Please do not make an online payment until your booking has been confirmed by email.

We offer a delivery and collection service to bring the box to you if you require. There is an additional charge for this service, details of which can be found on the booking page.

We will require a cheque of €150 for a security deposit when you take collection the box. This will be returned to you when the box is returned safely.

The rental of the box is for a 48 hour period. We do offer longer rental if you require at an additional cost of €20 per day. If you require a longer rental period please indicate this on the booking form.

The rental package is designed for a single game session and is not intended for multiple use. Therefore we do not offer the box for use at events for example school fairs or other community events.

FAQ

How big is the box?

The box is 75cm in length and 32cm in width with a height of 37cm. The box weighs approximately 20kg. It is advised that it is carried by two people. The box will fit comfortably in the boot of a car.

Can I play with any number of people?

We recommend for reasons of comfort that the game is suitable for groups of between 2 and 6 players. It can however be played with more or less people if required. Please keep in mind that if more players are involved your game experience may be shorter. Also bear in mind that communication may be more difficult.

Is there a minimum age for playing?

We recommend a minimum age of 10 to play this box. It is possible to play with younger children although they may find some of the puzzles particularly challenging.

Do I need to be able to speak french to play?

All the instructions and story within the box are in the french language so we recommend having a french speaking member of your team.

Can we play the box multiple times during our rental period?

The game is designed for a single game session and needs to be reset before being played again. You can only play the game once during your rental period.

Do I need to reassemble the box before I return it?

You do not need to reassemble the box and we request that you do not attempt to replace anything in its original position. You simply need to place all the object from the game in to the box using the checklist provided.

Can I request a different collection or delivery time?

You must choose a delivery or collection time to complete the booking form but if you wish to request a different time you can do so in the additional information section on the booking form. We will do our best to accomodate your request.
